My dad was sick with leukemia at 50 in 1980. He had a crew of donors of platlets named the "Dedicated Dixon Donors" who frequently went into NYC to spend have a day giving their life-blood to Dad. Gordon Tasker was one of these selfless givers and I am so grateful for him and the others. My heart and prayers go out to all who mourn for him now. In my mind, along with the other donors...he was a hero.
