Mary Kimball (nee Hardy), of Boonton Township, NJ, passed away suddenly on Monday, July 14, 2014. She was 73 years old. Mary was born in Cleveland, Ohio and lived in Mountain Lakes, NJ before moving to Boonton Township in 1968. She graduated from Mount Holyoke College of Hadley, MA with a bachelor degree in music, she continued her education in Vienna, Austria and at Julliard in NY. Mrs. Kimball was an Opera Singer, and was well known in the area for her talent. In addition to her many venues she was a soprano soloist for many years at the Old First Presbyterian Church in Newark, and sung in leading roles in the opera for more than 25 years in the area, in New York City, and in Boston. Living on nearly 5 acres in Boonton Twp., she loved her animals and had a barn with horses, goats, ducks, chickens, dogs & cats. She enjoyed traveling with her partner, Bruce Baver, to Ft. Meyers, FL, Ireland, and the Southwest, including Sedona, Arizona and southern Utah. Surviving are her loving partner for 34 years, Bruce Baver; devoted sons, Scott G. Kimball and Gregory B. Kimball and his wife, Michelle; loving grandchildren, Halle, Elle, Ashley, Carly, Brandon and Dylan; The Baver family, Wes, Marjorie Roller and Amanda Thompson and the late Chris; also her cherished animals. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family at the Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Avenue, Boonton, NJ on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held in The Community Church, 48 Briarcliff Road, Mountain Lakes on Saturday, July 19th at 10:00 am. The interment will be private in Redding, CT.
