*Spending many days at the Kimball household when Scott, Gregg and I were in high school in the 80s.
*Seeing Mary perform in the tiny Opera House, was it next to Skeeby Jeebies or something like that? I know it was downtown Manhattan and very cool. Her lead performance blew me away.
*Thinking it was pretty cool that she had horses and chickens there on her Split Rock Road property.
*Her smile and cheery voice.

Our sympathy goes out to Mary's family and friends. She will be so missed. As volunteers at the Octagon Wildlife Sanctuary, we knew of her love and support of all animals, particularly ours here in FL.and appreciated her so very much.

I recently saw Scott and asked about his mother. I was so saddened to learn of her passing only a week later. I remember Mary inviting all of the second grade class for an end of school party and the lovely time we all had that day with the children and the hit of the day was Mary's horse!! I also remember her beautiful voice and our work with the cub scouts! I miss her. Love to her family, Gail Kuchavik

My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family. I just read the announcement so I could not attend to send my condolences in person. I grew up in The Community Church listening and "singing" in the choirs. It was wonderful to be a part of it and to know Mary. With our heartfelt sympathies, The Wilson Family...

I am so sorry to hear of Mary's passing. What a lovely woman she was. She always brightened the room with her stories of travel and singing, and her "dear Bruce". As Buddy, Gioia, and Miss Gray's veterinarian,(and years ago Kismet and Cassie's,) I can truly say that her pets are some of the most well cared for I know. I am so sorry for your family's loss. I hope you know that Mary really touched the lives of everyone she came across, human and animal.

A perpetual smile, and a kind word are Mary's hallmark. Vivacious, positive, and a loving nurturing Mother, she was a blessing to all whose lives she touched. I am deeply saddened for you all.

I had the great pleasure of singing with Mary the last two years as a fellow soprano at Old First Church in Newark, NJ. I am in my 40's, and marveled at how amazing Mary's technique was in a profession where most sopranos lose their chops in the 50's. Wow!
She was always so gracious, so professional, so fun and lively on those Sunday mornings. She would brag about "my Bruce", her animals, her children. And, I was always happy to purchase farm fresh eggs from her!
In addition, Mary kept her German speaking skills up to perfection. My mother was from Vienna. She passed away many years ago, and it was such a delight to speak German with Mary whenever we could find time in rehearsal!
I was blessed to make beautiful music with Mary. Now she is happily singing with the true choirs of angels! May she rest in peace and sing with everlasting joy!

My dear friend, you left too soon. We had many more things to sing together and animals to talk about. My kindred spirit as an animal lover, musician and my dear friend. Mary and I sang together at Old First Church for 12'ish years. Her support and optimistic loving personality made me feel like I could accomplish anything. I shall miss you and your bright blue, sparkling eyes.
