Mrs. Murphy's daughter Karen is one of my best friends, and in the 45 years Karen and I have known each other, we have been through a lot. I myself have been married three times---and Mrs. Murphy is one of the very few people who sent me a wedding gift every single time, no matter what country I lived in, and no matter how long it had been since I had last seen her. I have three beautiful pieces of Steuben glass that I look at every day, and every time I look at any one of them I think of Mr. and Mrs. Murphy and the unflinching devotion the whole Murphy family embodies. I and my family are deeply saddened by Mrs. Murphy's passing, and we want to send our love and thoughts to Mr. Murphy, Karen, Marianne, Judy, Brian and their families at this difficult time. I know Mrs. Murphy is now resting in peace, and we are grateful for that.
