BOONTON TOWNSHIP---Alice L. (Albert) Middleton died Monday, September 19, 2011 at St. Clare's Hospital, Denville following a brief illness. She was 83. Born in Boonton, she had lived in Boonton Township for 42 years. Mrs. Middleton was a secretary with Segal & Morrell in Parsippany for 10 years before retiring in 1990. She graduated from Boonton High School in 1946 and was currently serving on the 65th reunion committee. She was a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church, Boonton where she served as both a deacon and an elder. She was also a member of the Rockaway Valley Garden Club. Her son, David S., predeceased her in 1997. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, John R. "Jack"; two sons, Bruce W. and his wife Janet of Boonton and Glen P. and his wife Rocio of San Diego, CA; two brothers, Henry L. Albert of Boonton Township and Richard Albert of Greensboro, NC and four cherished grandchildren, Kristen, Lauren, Bruce and Scott. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 24th at 1:00 P.M. at the First Presbyterian Church of Boonton, 513 Birch St., Boonton with interment to follow at the memorial garden of the church. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, September 22nd from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Mackey Funeral Home (mackeyfh.com), 107 Essex Ave., Boonton. Memorial contributions in Alice's name may be made to either the Cal-Diego Chapter, Paralyzed Veterans of America, Suite 1A-118, 3350 La Jolla Village Dr., San Diego, CA 92161 or the Memorial Fund, First Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 149, Boonton, NJ 07005. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
