Obituary of Claire R. Rebele

Claire Rita Rebele (nee Freytag) passed away at The Chelsea in Sparta, NJ, after a long illness on Thursday, March 23, 2023.

She is survived by her four children, Susan Probasco, Kim Krum, Todd Rebele and Dale Rebele; her four grandchildren, Lindsay DeGraw, Jennifer Sprague, William Probasco and Jacob Probasco; and five great-grandchildren, Tyler DeGraw, Hendrik Probasco, Natalie Sprague, Gwen Probasco and Arthur Sprague.

Claire was predeceased by her husband and childhood sweetheart, Theodore Ronald Rebele. They were married for 63 years and resided in Boonton Township where they pursued their passion of collecting antiques and restoring an old antique farmhouse.

Claire also loved gardening and was a former member of the Rockaway Valley Garden Club. She worked for many years at Sarah Frances Tally Ho Nursing Home in Boonton Township as an activity coordinator. She was also a member of the St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Mountain Lakes.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family on Sunday, March 26th from 2:00 - 5:00 pm at Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Ave, Boonton, NJ 07005. A full mass will be celebrated in St. Catherine of Siena RC Church in Mountain Lakes on Monday, March 27th at 10:00am. Mass will be livestreamed at 10:00am - please go to www.stcatherine-ml.org
