I attended Douglass College at the same time as Laura but I didn't meet her until our 5 year Reunion. I was able to get to know Laura more when she was part of our class year's 10 year reunion committee, which I chaired. She was a wonderful addition to the committee. I particularly remember how she created pine cone "awards" for our reunion trivia event at our class dinner. I was able to meet up with her again at our 15 year reunion. Our 20th reunion never happened as COVID hit. I thought I would have the pleasure of seeing her again at the next reunion and many others going forward. She left this world too early. May the memory of Laura be eternal and a blessing to her family.

Laura was and will always be one of our best friends. She cared so deeply for everyone and always put herself last. She was always at our doors with a great story, sweet smile, helping hand and an unjudgemental ear to listen to our tales.

My kids were privileged to have Mrs. Bennetti for Spanish class during the Covid-19 lockdowns. She kept my kids engaged and her approach was amazing. I could see her love for teaching. She would answer so many questions these little 1&2 graders had about what was happening in the world. It was scary then for my kids, she showed up and was a consistent support for them. They know a good amount on Spanish because of her. I know my kids will miss her a lot.

Laura was an amazing teacher and such a sweet woman! I am blessed to have worked with her in Hopatcong for the past 2 years. She did SO much for her students!
