Obituary of Cheryl Lynn Stichweh
Cheryl L. Stichweh (nee Miller) of Boonton, NJ passed away on Sunday, November 27th, 2022, with family at her side, after a short illness. She was 75.
Cheryl was born in January 1947 and raised in Dover, NJ before moving to Boonton in 1969. She was predeceased by her parents, Milton and Gloria Miller (nee Metz). She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Cecil Stichweh; her son and daughter-in-law, Brian C. and Alicia L. Stichweh; and her grandson, Zachary M. Stichweh, who always brought Cheryl her greatest joy.
Cheryl graduated at the top of her class from Dover High School in 1965 and earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Trenton State College in 1969 with High Honors. After teaching second grade for several years, she chose to be a homemaker and stay-at-home-mom: jobs she took tremendous pride in and performed to perfection. Cheryl was an extremely involved executive officer of Tri-Town Little League in various capacities. She enjoyed spending time with her faithful dog, Jeter; gardening, and rooting for the New York Yankees and Giants alongside her husband, Cecil. But above all else, Cheryl enjoyed spending quality time with her family and friends and watching her grandson, Zachary, excel in baseball over the years. She was highly intelligent, witty, and a fiercely loyal woman who always put others before herself. She will be missed every day.
Visitation will be on Saturday, December 3, 2022 from 10 AM to 12 PM at Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Ave, Boonton. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society in her memory would be greatly appreciated.
