Richard Dorsey Hartshorn was born in 1950 in Harlem, New York to the late Richard Dorsey Hartshorn and Laura Bell Grier. He was well known to all as "Dickie". He was called home to be with the Lord on June 5, 2022. Dickie attended Boonton High School and resided in Boonton for most of his life before moving to Morristown.

Dickie was a member of the Local 560 Teamsters Union for over 30 years and retired in 2009. He had a passion for listening to music and playing his guitar. Dickie loved to entertain all of his children and grandchildren, and his furry friends, Peanut and Cecil. He also loved his truck.

Dickie is survived by his beloved wife, Dolores Ann Hartshorn; his children, Troy Holloway; Reggie Beston; Shonda Hartshorn; Marcus Hartshorn; Errol Hartshorn; Jasmine, Candi, Shyane and Jersey; his siblings, Janice E. Johnson; Taylor D. Hartshorn and Catherine A. Hartshorn James; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 14th from 10:00am to 12:00pm, followed by a service from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at Codey & Mackey Funeral Home.
