Harold Wesley Gingery, 85 of Montville passed away at home on July 12, 2021.

Born in Akron, Ohio, Harold proudly served in the National Guard, and attended Lehigh University, earning a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He worked as an accountant for many years until his retirement in July 2005.

A devoted member of the First Presbyterian Church in Cranford for over 50 years, Harold served as a deacon there. An avid railroad enthusiast, he also enjoyed stamp collecting. Harold was a proud Boy Scout leader for many years. Harold also served as the International Director of Parents Without Partners. Most of all, he treasured time spent with his loving children and grandchildren.

Harold was the beloved husband of 27 years to Marion (nee Kelly) Gingery; loving father of Stephen Gingery, Patricia Bell and Linda Gingery; stepfather of Elaine Doherty (Phong) and Diana Hanley (Steven), cherished grandfather of Jason Durkee, Benjamin Orr, McKenna Gingery, Alex Gingery, Thomas Doherty, Alyssa Doherty, Alec Doherty, and Jamie Hanley. He was also the dear brother of Carol Ann Achilles (Robert) and Marilyn Hoover (David).

Visitation is on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Codey & Mackey Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be celebrated at First Presbyterian Church in Boonton at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Boonton Memorial Fund.
