Obituary of Eufrasia Conca

Please share a memory of Eufrasia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Eufrasia Conca, 96, took her last breath on Sunday, December 6, 2020, after a courageous health journey this past year.  She is now enjoying a heavenly reunion with family and friends of a lifetime.

Born in Marcellinara, Calabria, Italy to Ernesto and Stella (Scerbo) Maraziti, Eufrasia met and married the love of her life, the late Alfred J. Conca. Together they raised a family and enjoyed 42 wonderful years of marriage.  She resided in Boonton for 44 years before moving to Washington Twp. in 1992.  Her most precious time in life was spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Eufrasia was a devout Catholic, a member of Catholic Daughters, Court Joan of Arc, and she volunteered and served as a Eucharistic Minister in her community, her parish of St. Mark’s in Long Valley and at Morristown Memorial Hospital for many years.

In addition to her late husband, Alfred J. Conca, she was predeceased by her sister, Nina Vegliante.

Surviving are her devoted daughters, Maria (Roy) Peppard of Montville and Phyllis (Dennis) Goldenberg of Hackettstown; a loving sister, Romana LoScerbo of Rome, Italy; her cherished grandchildren, Lisa (Gordon) Roberts, David (Megan) Peppard, Brian Goldenberg, Lauren (Eugenio) Gencarelli, Thomas Peppard and Stephen (Alex) Goldenberg; her seven adored great-grandchildren with one soon to come. Also her many loving nieces, nephews and cousins, both in Italy and here.

Arrangements are private through Codey & Mackey Funeral Home of Boonton. To share a story or condolence with the family, please visit www.codeymackeyfh.com.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Eufrasia Conca to the Midland Foundation (www.midlandnj.org) would be deeply appreciated.
