Obituary of Robert Dalotto

Robert D. Dalotto, Sr., 79, of Boonton Township, NJ, passed away on Friday, February 8, 2019.

Born in Brooklyn, NY to Louis and Florence Dalotto, Bob was raised in Queens and Centerport, NY. He graduated from CW Post University in Long Island with a bachelor's degree in business.

He met and married the love of his life at a fraternity dance and together lived in many places in New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Michigan and New Jersey, where they have lived the past 33 years.

His career spanned for many years in the tire industry. He was a salesman at heart and worked his way up to Vice President of Regional Sales. He started with Uniroyal Tire Co. which merged by Goodrich and eventually Michelin Tire Co. After retiring from corporate he worked from home for Jack Williams Tire & Auto. Finally retiring at the age of 77 years.

Together he and his wife, Kathy, enjoyed traveling around the world in business and pleasure. They also wintered in Venice, FL through the years.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 58 years, Kathryn Elizabeth (Kline); devoted children, Donna Dalotto (Michael Buckner) and Robert D. Dalotto, Jr.; cherished granddaughter, Alexandria Self. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, George Dalotto.

Friends are invited to visit with the family at the Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Avenue, Boonton, NJ on Wednesday, February 13th from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm followed by a service at 1:00 pm. The interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital would be appreciated.
