Obituary of Susan D. Wachtel
Susan D. Wachtel, 63, of Montville, NJ, passed away at home on Monday, January 28, 2019.
Born in Denville, NJ she lived most of her life in Montville, NJ. She was the daughter of John and Doris (Zimmermann) Buis. She graduated from Montville High School in 1973 and was married to Charles L. Wachtel in 1974. Together they raised their two daughters in Montville, NJ and Dingmans Ferry, PA.
Susan loved her family and pets, even her son-in-laws, she enjoyed giving tchotchkes to her family and lived for her grandchildren. In recent years she lovingly cared for her parents so they could stay at home.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Charles, in 2009. In addition to her parents she is survived by her devoted daughters and their husbands, Rebecca and Christopher Friedrich, Nichole and John Jannone; her loving sister, Robin Bielski and her husband Howard and brother, Michael Buis; adored grandchildren, Hannah and Morgan; cherished niece, Ashley and nephew, Jay.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial visitation on Thursday, January 31st from 6-9 pm at the Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Avenue, Boonton, NJ 07005.
