BOONTON---William H. DeGraw, Jr. died Friday, January 28, 2011 at St. Clare's Hospital, Denville following a brief illness. He was 88. Born in Boonton, he was the son of William H. DeGraw, Sr. and Ethyl C. Downer DeGraw. He lived in Boonton his entire life and graduated from Boonton High School in 1940. Mr. DeGraw was a pump mechanic with the Rockaway Valley Regional Sewerage Authority, Parsippany for 16 years before retiring in 1988. He served honorably with the United States Marine Corps during World War II. He was an exempt member and ex-chief of the Boonton Township Fire Department, serving for over sixty years. He was also a 50+ year member of St. John's Lodge #1, F & AM, Mountain Lakes. He is survived by three daughters, Carol A. White and her husband Philip of Fredericksburg, TX, Barbara DeCarolis and her husband John of St. Peter's, MO and Janice L. Jones of Parsippany; six grandchildren, Karl White, Angela DeCarolis, Hasaan DeCarolis, Darius DeCarolis, Kimberly Jaworski and her husband Darrin and Kristen Jones and a great granddaughter, Samantha Jaworski. Fireman's Services, conducted by the Boonton Township Fire Department, will be held Wednesday, February 2nd at 7:30 PM at the Mackey Funeral Home (mackeyfh.com), 107 Essex Ave., Boonton. Funeral services will be held the same evening at 8:30 PM. The interment will be private. Friends may call Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Bill's name may be made to the Boonton Township Fire Department, 2 Old Denville Rd., Boonton Township, NJ 07005. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home
