Elaine, how can I forget your sunny warm smiles, if not warmest I ever know in this whole world, it's a loss beyond words can express. You are among the first one we knew in town, how could I forget you walked into our garden giving me tips on gardening in summer, visiting our puppy with Peppa's peanut butter treat toy, and the list goes on, and your favorite dishes, I wish I could cook for you again.. We talked about making dumpling together, never got chance to do it. You are the role model for giving love, servicing community, helping friends. Our deepest condolence and love to Steve, Katie and Declan, of losing you. You will live in the memory of everyone who ever knows you.

Bambi's giggle--there was nothing like it!
Bams was one of my closest friends in college and all through our 20s. There are a thousand different stories—all strung together by that one amazing giggle!
It lit up our life.
And although we grew apart, I know it’s always with me. Our time together occurred during the most magic of times—young adulthood—when anything and everything is possible! Whether it was hanging out at Boo Boos in Hoboken or Trader Vics in London, doing leg lifts with Jane Fonda, or being clowns in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade--I thank the stars for every adventure and giggle spent with her.
Steve, Katie, Declan, Bobbi and Manny—my heart breaks for you. I wish you peace and hope that the memory of Bambi’s laugh and spirit will help you heal during this difficult time.
I loved her dearly—
Gina Van Nosdall (and Patrick Macnamara)

Hi Steve,
My deepest sympathies to you and your children at this very difficult time. I read the news on Linked-In regarding the sad passing of your wife. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. I am only four years younger than your wife, and it definitely puts life and priorities into perspective. Life can be very cruel.
Kind regards,
Jimmy Harrington

I am so sad to learn about Elaine's passing. I knew her through the Garden Club where she was such a knowledgeable, cheerful and hard working contributor. She made the most spectacular cakes and was always ready to help anyone. The world has lost a good soul.

I had the pleasure of working with Elaine over the years, whether it was for her children during their time at Briarcliff Middle School or for our HSA. Elaine was a pleasure, a shining light. I am truly saddened by her passing and for her family. It is very hard to believe that she is gone. I wish her peace & for those who are left to mourn this tragic loss.

Elaine's beautiful face and shining energy was always a welcome greeting every time I saw her at the library. When I saw her at school, it amazed me that she could immediately greet me by name, making me feel important. She and the whole family will be sorely missed.

Dear Steve,
Many hearts are saddened with the loss of Bambi. The old adage, "Only the good die young" holds so true today. I will always remember sitting on the floor of her bedroom one night during high school, listening to Earth, Wind, and Fire's new album and singing "September" over and over again. I regret that our busy lives put distance between us.
We all need to remember to take time to keep in touch with those who are special to us. Please share my condolences with both the Boyles and the Ylagans.
May the sound of her laughter and the smile on her face help heal your heart today.
Fondly,
Lisa Wilkins Tehan
