John Clemens, 86, of Dover passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 with his loving family beside him. Predeceased in his death by his wife, Ruth V Card, and his daughter, RuthAnn Gould, he is survived by his children, Joan Strowbridge, Bernard John Clemens, Steven Clemens, Patricia Santillo, Carl Clemens, Dawn Clemens and Courtney Gilmour. He also leaves behind 21 Grandchildren and 24 Great Grandchildren and his dear friend, Rubela Herdia who kindly and graciously took care of him.
John proudly served in the US Airforce from 1947-1949. He enjoyed flying single engine airplanes and enjoyed many flights with his friend Hement (Herman)Desai. John was also a lifelong fan of Nascar racing, with Dale Earnhardt being his all-time favorite.
