Obituary of James Clifford Anglum
MOUNTAIN LAKES
James Clifford Anglum, known to friends and family as Cliff, died on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at Franciscan Oaks Health Center following a brief illness. He was 85.
Born in Boonton he was a resident of Mountain Lakes for over 55 years. A veteran of the U.S. Merchant Marine Corps., he served during WWII seeing action in the South Pacific. In 2008, he retired from the J.C. Anglum Company of Mountain Lakes, manufacturer's representatives specializing initially in the sale of vinyl resins for the production of LP records and later cassette tape and compact disk components for the recording industry.
Cliff was among the founding parishioners of St. Catherine of Siena Church and a long time member of the Mountain Lakes Club and The Squadron, all in Mountain Lakes and the Rockaway River Country Club in Denville.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years Alice A. (Makovsky); two daughters, Sharon E. Anglum of Parsippany and A. G. Anglum of Evanston, IL; two sons, Peter K. Anglum of Mountain Lakes and Timothy J. Anglum of Stratton Mountain, VT; twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Nov. 12, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Mountain Lakes followed by the interment in Greenwood Cemetery in Boonton.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 at Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Ave., Boonton (Mackeyfh.com).
