Obituary of David A. Potts

David A. Potts, 55, of Sparta, NJ, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2015 at NY Presbyterian Hospital, NY, NY. Born in Denville, NJ to his parents, Donald and Joan, he was raised in Boonton and lived in Hopatcong for many years before moving to Sparta in 2010. David was a graduate of Boonton High School and was a self-employed painter for many years. David was passionate about helping others in need & caring for animals. He is survived by his companion of 30 years, Sandra Malec and her parents, Andrew and Margaret Malec; a step-mother, Irene Potts; a brother Robert S. Potts; sisters Dianne Dalrymple, Valerie Richardson, Sandra Koets and several nieces & nephews. A Funeral Service will be held at Restland Memorial Park Chapel, 77 DeForest Ave., E. Hanover, NJ on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at 11:00 am. Arrangements are in care of the Codey & Mackey Funeral Home of Boonton, NJ.
