Obituary of Frank J. Dunn

Frank J. Dunn Attorney Frank J. Dunn, of Mountain Lakes, NJ, passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2014. He was 85 years old. Frank was born in New York City in 1928 and lived in Mountain Lakes for the past 41 years. He attended Pace University for his undergraduate studies and NYU Law School for his Juris Doctorate. Mr. Dunn was a Veteran of the Korean War. Frank was in-house counsel first for Merck and then Warner Lambert in Morris Plains, NJ, serving as Food and Drug counsel for many years until his retirement in 1995. After retirement, Frank was very active in his community, serving on the Mountain Lakes Planning Board and Board of Adjustment for years; being awarded the Janice D. Hunts Award for Community Service in 2010. He was a long-time member of the Rockaway River Country Club, where he enjoyed playing golf with good friends. He spent many years at his summer home in Barnegat Light, N.J., with his extended family and many friends. Surviving are his beloved wife of 59 years, Eileen T. (nee Drinane); two devoted sons and their families, Terrence Dunn, his wife, Elizabeth Emmons and their children Tom Emmons and Olivia Dunn; and David and Carol Dunn and their children Collin and Maddie Dunn, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Margaret Dovi, and his brother, Richard. Family and friends are invited to visit at the Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Avenue, Boonton, NJ on Thursday, October 16th from 5- 8 pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Catherine's of Siena R.C. Church, 10 N. Pocono Road, Mountain Lakes on Friday, October 17th at 11:00 am. The interment is private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Association of University Women (AAUW), Mountain Lakes branch, for their scholarship fund.
