Obituary of Sylvia J. Lewis

Sylvia J. Lewis, of Boonton, NJ, passed away after a brief illness on Sunday, December 29, 2013. She was 81 years old. Graduate of Boonton High School in 1949. Sylvia was born in Trenton, NJ and lived in Boonton for most of her life. She was predeceased by her parents, George and Olive Lewis, her sisters Francis Lewis Duffield and Helen Lewis Wendt and a brother Richard Lewis. She was an administrative assistant at Hewlett-Packard in Rockaway Township for many years. Ms. Lewis was an active volunteer in the community at the Boonton Historical Society and the Boonton HUD Program. She is survived by her brother George Lewis; nephews George Lewis, Peter Wendt, Warren Wendt and Richard Wendt, Joseph Duffield, Thomas Duffield and Edward Duffield and nieces Amy Marks and Laurel Wendt, Ellen Duffield, Beth Lewis Borbone, Sue Lewis Conlon; her God Daughter Heather Wendt-Kemp and many beloved grand and great nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 3 at 1:00 PM followed immediately by a Memorial Service at 2:00PM in the Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Avenue, Boonton, NJ 07005.
