Obituary of Madeline D. McCormick

Madeline D. McCormick (Doremus), of Naugatuck, CT, formerly of Boonton, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2013. She was 96 years old. Family and friends can visit at the Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Ave., Boonton on Friday, December 6th from 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service celebrating her life will be held at the Boonton United Methodist Church, 626 Lathrop Ave., Boonton,on Saturday, December 7th at 9:30 am. The interment will follow the service at St. Mary's Cemetery, Boonton. Madeline was a lifelong resident of Boonton before moving to Naugatuck to be closer to her family. During WWII she was an assembler at Aircraft Radio Corp. in Boonton Twp. She was also a sales clerk for 30 years at Boonton Stationery. Mrs. McCormick was a devoted lifelong member of the Boonton United Methodist Church. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph A., in 1996 and a sister Doris Sturtevant. Surviving are her devoted daughter, Karen E. Waranowicz of Naugatuck, CT; loving grandchildren Daniel and Clifford Shoemaker; and a dear sister Mildred Tanga.
