Jack P. Freeman, of Boonton Twp., NJ, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2013 after a long illness. He was 88 years old Jack was born in Ocala, FL and lived in Boonton Twp. for many years. He was a self employed Electrician. Mr. Freeman was a Veteran of World War II serving in the US Coast Guard. Jack was a volunteer fireman with the Boonton Twp. Volunteer Fire Dept. for over 50 years, a member of the Boonton Rotary (Paul Harris Fellow), a member of The Community Church of Mountain Lakes where he sang tenor in the choir, and also served with the Boonton Historical Society. He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Cornelia (Baker); devoted daughters Maxine Freeman Ficklin, Lydia Freeman and Paula Freeman DeHart; loving grandchildren Laneice, Blair, Gordon, Monica, Samantha, Faith, Dorian, Desiree, Daralyn; cherished great grandchildren Ariana and Christopher. He was predeceased by his grandchildren Megan and Devyn; also 3 brothers and 4 sisters. Family and friends are invited to visit at the Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Ave., Boonton, NJ 07005 on Friday, November 15th from 6-9PM. Services will be held at the Community Church of Mountain Lakes, 48 Briarcliff Rd., Mountain Lakes, NJ 07046 on Saturday, November 16th at 11:00 AM. The interment will be private.
