Pedros Matos, a longtime resident of Boonton, NJ, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2013, after a long illness.
Pedro was born and raised in Utuado, Puerto Rico before moving to Boonton, NJ in 1967, where he meet his wife, Josefina and raised his family.
Mr. Matos was a line service technician for 30 years with Mennen / Colgate in Morristown before retiring in 2003.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Josefina (nee Ramos); devoted children Pedro, Jr., and his wife Jennifer, Dulce Silva and Gerardo; a loving sister Cookie Tapia and brother Wilfredo Fernando; cherished grandchildren Emilia, Alex, Michael Nicholas and Jacob.
Family and friends may visit at the Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Ave., Boonton, NJ 07005 on Tuesday, November 12 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel R.C. Church, 910 Birch St., Boonton on Wednesday, November 13 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Boonton.
