Obituary of Elizabeth LaFiura

Elizabeth LaFiura Loving Wife, Mother and Friend Elizabeth (Hutchison) LaFiura, of Mountain Lakes, NJ, passed away, after a courageous battle with cancer, on Thursday, June 13, 2013. She was 57 years old. Beth was born in Passaic, NJ, to the late Elizabeth and James Hutchison and grew up in Wayne, NJ. She was one of eight children. A graduate of Katharine Gibbs School in New York City, she did paralegal work with Evans,Hand, Allabough & Amoresano of Paterson, NJ, for several years. Beth loved spending time with her children and her family. She is most especially remembered by the community as a Mountain Lakes Lacrosse and Football mom extraordinaire. In addition, she sang with the Sweet Adelines of Far Hills for a number of years and most recently enjoyed her book club of Mountain Lakes. Surviving are her beloved husband, Alan; cherished sons David (Alison), Nicholas (Marguerite), and Joseph; loving sisters Kathleen Keddy, Maureen Sengstack, Mary Hutchison, Denise Hutchison, and Janet Lebo; and a dear brother Bruce Hutchison. She was predeceased by her brother Paul. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family at the Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Avenue, Boonton, NJ on Friday, June 21st from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Funeral Mass celebrating her life will be held at St. Catherine of Siena R.C. Church, Mountain Lakes, on Saturday, June 22nd at 10:30 AM. Cremation was private.
