Obituary of Malcolm Wallace Aalholm

Malcolm Wallace Aalholm, of Parsippany, NJ, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2013. He was 95 years old.
Malcolm was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA and lived the past 60 years in Parsippany.
Mr. Aalholm was a graduate of Germantown Academy in 1935 and The University of Pennsylvania in 1939 with a Bachelors Degree in History. He went on to serve faithfully in the US Army in World War II as a 1st Lieutenant in the Infantry. He was the recipient of the Bronze Star and 2 Purple Hearts.
After the war Malcolm worked for US Gypsum retiring from their Tarrytown office as facilities supervisor.
He was a former member of the Old Guard in Madison, NJ. Malcolm enjoyed traveling with his wife, June, in Europe, especially France.
Surviving is his beloved wife of 67 years, June (Spansail); devoted daughter Ann Gallagher and her husband Neil; loving grandsons Matthew and Timothy.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 215 Boulevard, Mountain Lakes, NJ 07046 on Friday, May 31 at 10:00 AM. Arrangements are in care of the Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, Boonton, NJ. For online condolences or information please visit www.codeymackeyfh.com.
