ROCKAWAY BOROUGH---John P. Rosenski, Jr. died Friday, December 28, 2012 at St. Clare's Hospital, Denville following a long illness. He was 80.
Born in New Brunswick, he lived in Jefferson Township for 30 years before moving to Rockaway 12 years ago.
Mr. Rosenski spent his career as a baker at several area bakeries and for 20 years was employed as a baker at J.C's Italian Bakery, Parsippany before retiring in 2000.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He is survived by a daughter, Veralyn Looker and her husband Scot of Boonton; three sons, John D. and his wife Teri of Rockaway, James P. and his significant other Anna of Netcong and Michael S. and his fiance Aimee of Hackettstown; two brothers, Frank of Avoca, PA and Paul of Piscataway and seven cherished grandchildren, Joseph, Jacqueline, James, Jessica, Samantha, Andrew and Miranda.
Friends and relatives may visit with the family on Wednesday, January 2nd from 4-7 PM at the Mackey Funeral Home ( www.mackeyfh.com), 107 Essex Ave., Boonton. A funeral service will be held at the conclusion of visitation beginning at 6:30 PM. The interment will be private.
