PARSIPPANY---Lester E. Ayres died Monday, January 30, 2012 at his home following an apparent heart attack. He was 91. Born in Boonton, he lived in Montville for 21 years before moving to Parsippany 19 years ago. Mr. Ayres was a truck driver with Tredway's Express Co., Boonton for 35 years before retiring in 1986. Following his retirement he worked for 14 years in the produce department of King's Supermarket, Morristown. He was a member of Teamster's Local #560 and a member of the Lenepe Boston Terrier Club of Northern New Jersey. His wife, Norma Brown Ayers, died in 2005. He was also predeceased by his first wife, Estelle. He is survived by a daughter, Linda Solomita of Chatham; a son, L. Ronald Ayres and his wife, Renee of St. Petersburg, FL; five grandchildren, Kara, Christopher, Ian, Allison and Kevin and two great grandchildren, Lilly and Savannah. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 2nd from 7-9 PM only at the Mackey Funeral Home ( www.mackeyfh.com), 107 Essex Ave., Boonton. A memorial service for Lester will be held at the conclusion of visitation beginning at 8:30 PM on Thursday. Memorial contributions in Lester's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Tribute Fund, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105-1942. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home
