NEW YORK---Suzanne Menkes died Monday, May 24, 2010 at her home following a brief illness. She was 95.
Born in Cairo, Egypt, she lived in Europe most of her life before coming to this country in 1981 where she settled in New York City.
She was the Administrative Director of Budget for the Joint Distribution Committee, New York, NY. for many years before retiring in 1996.
She is survived by a niece, Ingrid Shoenfeld and her husband Dr. Richard Shoenfeld of Mountain Lakes; a great niece, Olivia Jonas and her daughter, Clara Jonas and two great nephews, Gregory Shoenfeld and Julien Shoenfeld.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 27th at 11:30 A.M. at the Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Ave., Boonton with interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Boonton. Friends may call on Thursday beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home
