Obituary of John J Hynes
John “Jack” Hynes, 87, recently of Morristown, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2018.
Jack was a veteran of the US Army and served during the Korean War. He worked at Automatic Switch in Florham Park for 35 years, working his way up the ranks to achieve shop foreman status. Jack enjoyed making many things with his hands and working endless hours in his wood shop. Jack was a classic movie buff, especially Humphrey Bogart. He was an avid New York Yankees fan. He also enjoy Charlie Brown and the Peanuts and collected their memorabilia.
Jack is survived by his wife Mary, and his step-children, Carol Yasson, Susan Gaudiosi, Kevin, and William Cammon, as well as six step-grandchildren, Michael, Laura, Bryan, Sean, Meghan, and Olivia. He is also survived by a sister Selma Faccia, his nieces Patricia Siracusa, Lynn Downs and a nephew Christopher Faccia.
Relatives and friends may gather on Thursday August 9th, from 5-7 PM. A liturgy of Christian burial will be on Friday August 10 at 11AM at St. Peter’s the Apostle, 179 Baldwin Road, Parsipanny, NJ. Interment will be private.
