Obituary of Chad Emmett Harris
Chad Emmett Harris, 42, of Mountain Lakes, NJ, a beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend, passed away in his sleep at home on Wednesday, June 20, 2018. A unique, engaging, gregarious man, his nickname “Neighbor Chad” truly embodied his gift for connecting with people of all walks of life. Chad’s spirit was infectious, he elevated the energy in any room and brought laughter to all. He will never be forgotten by those who love him; he will be remembered for he is unforgettable.
Chad was born in Passaic, NJ, grew up in Clifton followed by Boonton Township and graduated from Morris Catholic. He made his beloved Lake Tahoe his home before moving back to NJ five years ago.
He worked at Rapid Road Services in Bellville, NJ, a family business started by his father, Red. Beyond his love of family, especially his children, Brooklyn and Ryan, he loved Lake Tahoe and snowboarding. He was an avid fan of the NY Giants and Yankees and had an incredible ability to recite statistics and recall historical facts at the drop of a hat.
Surviving to share his memory are his beloved wife, Carolyn (Emr); cherished children, Brooklyn and Ryan; loving parents, Red and Pattie Harris; “little” brother, Brad and his wife, Daniella along with their children, Colton and Brayden; also many, many friends.
