Edna Elizabeth Doremus, formerly of Montville, NJ, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2017. She was a remarkable 92 years old. Born and raised on a farm in Hallock, MN, Edna was the daughter of Sander and Martha Tureson. She moved to New Jersey where she met and married Everett Doremus. Together they raised their family in Montville. Edna was a homemaker and bookkeeper for her husband's business, The Doremus Brothers in Montville. She was an active member of the Montville Reformed Church where she was a member of the Women's Guild and taught Sunday School. She was predeceased by her husband, Everett in 2008, parents and her 11 siblings. Surviving are her devoted children, Eileen Demeter, Phyllis Derksen, Kenneth Doremus and Pam Wright; loving grandchildren, Bob, Tracy, Scott, Meghan, Mason and Will; cherished great grandchildren, Owen, Eloise, Emeline, Kayla, Sydney, Zachary and Summer. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family at the Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Avenue, Boonton, NJ 07005 on Friday, April 14 from 4-7pm. A Memorial Service will be held at the Montville Reformed Church, 9 Church Lane on Saturday, April 29 at 12:00pm followed by a luncheon.
