Robert F. Ryan, 75 passed away on January 10, 2017.
A Memorial Visitation will be held at the Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Ave. Boonton on Saturday January 14 from 3-7 PM.
Born in Hempstead, NY, Robert was a longtime resident of Freeport, NY before relocating to Oak Ridge, NJ 15 years ago. He worked as a safety patrolman for the Town of Hempstead for many years until his retirement. A huge sports fan, Robert was an avid follower of the New York Giants, Rangers and Yankees. A gentle giant, he held his family nearest to his heart.
Robert was the beloved husband of Betty J. Ryan (nee Mitthauer); loving father of Lynn Dexter and her husband Michael; brother of Edward E. Ryan and Elinore Behan; brother-in-law of Taicia; and uncle of Kevin, Linda, Judy, Pam, Brenna and Megan.
