Obituary of Charles Dylan Sagerer

Charles Dylan Sagerer, 20, of Boonton, NJ passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 16, 2026 in Philadelphia, PA.

Born in Denville in 2006 to Robert and Kelly (Benfer) Sagerer, Charlie grew up in Boonton, graduating from Boonton High School in 2024. He was a junior at Drexel University, where he was studying music industry.

Charlie was full of life and love and especially music. It was his passion and he focused most of his time on enjoying and creating it. Charlie was a huge fan of the show “Survivor” and could name every winner from Season 1 through Season 50. He loved playing games with family and friends.

Charlie brought joy to his family and everyone who knew him. He always had a smile and lit up the room when he entered. He will forever be missed and never be forgotten.

Meeting him in Heaven are his grandparents, Joseph & Jessie Sagerer, Jerry Benfer, and Patricia & Joe Reed.

Charlie is survived by his loving parents, Bob and Kelly; his cherished siblings, Hunter and Emma; his caring grandmother, Rita Benfer; and his beloved extended family members – aunts, uncles, cousins and “Mumblers”.
