Barbara Rose Troisi, born in Weehawken, NJ on October 27, 1936, was blessed with 89 healthy years of life. She was predeceased by the love of her life, Pellegrino (Perry) Troisi, her husband of 67 years. As a young woman she was a cheerleader at Emerson High School, attended secretarial school after graduation and worked at United Testing in Hoboken until becoming a mom in 1960.

Barbara spent most of her life in Secaucus, NJ where she raised her children, Gina and Perry Troisi. She was a funny and generous friend, neighbor and community member. Her activities included the Women’s Club; CLASS (the Citizen’s League Advocating for a Secondary School) and the high school Booster Club. Still a talented secretary, Barbara returned to work when her children became teenagers. She joined the Child Study Team in the Secaucus Public Schools, then AGA, Panasonic and Bank of New York where she was beloved by bosses and coworkers alike.

Barbara’s warm and boisterous style and sharp wit made her the life of many celebrations with friends and family alike. She became the second mother and grandmother to many of her nieces and nephews and their children after the passing of their parents and grandparents, offering love, laughs, comfort and support. Her grandchildren, Jake, Maya and Max, deeply appreciated her warmth, humor, intense love and devotion. They gave her purpose and joy until her final days.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Gina and son-in-law Jimmy; her son, Perry and daughter-in-law Stephanie; and her grandchildren, Jake, Maya and Max; in addition to many cherished nieces, nephews and their children. She was predeceased by many she loved and thought of daily including her parents Guido and Erminia Corsi, her brother and sister-in-law, Albert and Veronica Corsi, her beloved cousins, Julia Madsen and Vera Kasabian and her dear friends, Elizabeth Corradino and Joan Ciambrone.
