Obituary of Ellen Catherine Gould

Ellen C. Gould, of Rockaway Borough, NJ, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at age 62.

A life long resident of Rockaway, Ellen was a 1981 graduate of Morris Knolls High School. She started her career at Prudential in Parsippany, and later graduated from Dover Business College with a Medical Assistant certificate. Ellen had worked at Goryeb Children's Hospital in Morristown, a job she enjoyed. Most recently, she worked as a bookkeeper.

Ellen was a good friend to many, bonding with them for a life-time and then with their children. She took joy in spending time with her friends & family, especially her niece & nephews. Ellen enjoyed reading, antiques, and had a great love of animals. She would always give a hand to a friend or animal in need. She will be greatly missed.

Ellen is survived by her brother, Jeffery K. Gould, and his wife, Marilyn; her nephews, Andrew and Alex; and her niece, Jacqueline; all of North Carolina; and her sister, Regina "Jean" Gould of Parsippany. She was predeceased by her parents, Catherine K. Gould and Kenneth A. Gould, Jr. 

Arrangements were made with Codey & Mackey Funeral Home of Boonton. Her ashes will be interred at Rockaway Valley Cemetery in Boonton Township. A celebration of life is to be held at a later date. In appreciation of Ellen's great love of animals, anyone who wishes to do so may make a donation to the Randolph Regional Animal Shelter in Mendham, or any animal shelter of choice.
