Obituary of Keith Andrew Sides

Please share a memory of Keith to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Long time resident of Boonton, NJ, Keith A. Sides, born July 1957 in Pittsfield, MA, succumbed to illness on Friday, November 7, 2025, in Morristown, NJ.

Keith graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1975 and briefly attended the University of Massachusetts. He subsequently graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University, Newark, NJ. Professionally he worked as a laboratory scientist for Sanofi-Aventis in Bridgewater, NJ until his retirement.

Keith was an avid tennis player until his illness made it too challenging to continue. He inherited a gift for gardening from his father – tending to many native and exotic plants.

Diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at a young age, Keith was a lifelong generous donor to the Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston, MA.

Keith was predeceased by his parents, and his niece, Sasha Truesdale. He leaves to cherish his memory: his sister, Janis Hassan; and his brother, Robert Sides; his niece, Veda Truesdale, her husband, Nathaniel Bradburd, and their children, Florence and Ira. Keith also leaves a special cousin, Kathy Sides.

The family thanks the staff at Morristown Post Acute Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, who provided care and comfort to Keith in his final days.

Per his wishes, there will be no services. Keith’s ashes will be interred in St. Joseph Cemetery in Pittsfield, MA at a later date.

Services were handled by Codey & Mackey Funeral Home of Boonton, NJ. To share condolences or memories please visit CodeyMackeyFH.com.
