She is the longest member within our chapter. Although she has not been to any meetings since before COVID we still were in touch with her many times. We will miss her very much. Jackie and I became friends during our BHS years and also worked together at Sarah Frances Nursing Home during that time. Many busy years passed without contact. Thankfully, we reconnected on social media in recent years. As it turns out, Jackie's son George & my son Justin are friends, having worked together 20+- years back! Small world. Jackie & Rich often attended concerts at MPAC. Having similar music taste, Sig & I recently enjoyed some concerts with them. Will certainly miss Jackie!

I, too, grew up on Overlook Avenue in Boonton. Jackie was my next door neighbor, and Richie lived practically across the street. We had wonderful, carefree childhoods and it was the best of times in America. Jackie always had the sweetest disposition and smile. We maintained our friendship for more than 65 years. I admired Jackie. A light has gone out of the world.

Jackie and I grew up together on Overlook Ave. from the age of 3. We played "dolls", "Ladies", "Cowboys and Indians", and "Superman." We rode our bikes, rollerskated and climbed the cherry trees in her back yard, played "Hide'n Seek", and "made nature more beautiful" in the brook near Brookwood Lane. We both had the same "first job" as Nurses aides at Sarah Francis Nursing Home when it was in the big white house next to the current Merry Heart in Boonton Twp. We were best friends growing up together. She will always hold a very special place in my heart. I am so very saddened by her death. May she rest in peace. Sending deepest sympathy for your loss. I never met Jackie in person, but knew of her all my life. When Jackie was a young girl, she was ill and in the hospital. My mom Betty (Elizabeth)Chipko took care of Jackie. Mom often told the story of caring for the little girl in the hospital. Jump ahead many years- mom was in St. Clare's having her hip replaced and crazy as it was.....Jackie was her nurse. After so many years Mom got to see her again. The newspaper did a story on them, and their picture was in the paper. Jackie reached out to our family on facebook when mom passed in 2018 and we then became facebook friends. I pray for your families loss. May Jackie rest in peace.
