Obituary of Josephine Julia Sullivan

Josephine J. Sullivan of Boonton, NJ, passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018 at Merry Heart of Boonton Township. She was 84 years old. Born in Montville, NJ to Frank and Katherine Good, she has lived in Boonton since 1970. Josie worked for 42 years at ACME Markets in Morris County. Mrs. Sullivan was a devoted member of Sts. Cyril & Methodius Church in Boonton, the Rosary Society, Slovak Catholic Sokol, The Boontonites and the Friendship Club. She was predeceased by her husband, John "Dixie" Sullivan in 1993; brothers, John, Frank and Joseph Good; sisters, Mary Farkas, Katherine Walicki, Margaret Decker and Irene O'Leary. Surviving are her sister, Elizabeth "Dolly" Williams in Florida; special niece, Donna Bandura and her husband, Stan; a grandson, Matthew Sullivan and his wife, Ashleigh; a great grandson, Robbie; also many other nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Avenue, Boonton, NJ on Tuesday, March 27th from 5-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Sts. Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church, 215 Hill Street, Boonton on Wednesday, March 28th at 10:00 am. The interment will follow at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Cemetery in Boonton.
