Obituary of Louise McCullough Beatty

Louise McCullough Beatty was born on May 26, 1931, in Chester, SC, to the late Melvina Hutchinson. On October 12, 2017, Louise was called home to be with the Lord and her children. She was the eldest of five children. Louise was married to the late Ernest Beatty, Sr. Two children were born out of that union: Mary Lou Beatty Chatpman and Ernest Beatty McCullough. Louise joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church in the 1950's under the late Rev. Peter Wilkins. She was a member of the Young Adult Choir, Usher Board, Vocal Group, where she served as treasurer, and the Missionary Group. Louise was employed as a cook for St. Clare's Hospital, in Denville, and a self-employed domestic worker before her retirement. She was well known for her culinary skills and her baking. If you needed a 'delicious' cake the bakery just wouldn't do, call Louise. To know her was to love her, she would always greet you with a warm smile and a friendly "Hello". Louise was predeceased by her two children, Mary Lou Beatty Chatpman and Ernest Beatty McCullough; one brother, Samuel McKlin, two sisters, Gertrude Ramsey and Betty Wallace, and special friend, Mack Camps. Louise is survived by her beloved family; sister Jean Anderson of Boonton Township, NJ; three grandchildren, Shawn Beatty and Jennifer Beatty of Robbinsville, NJ, Catlyn Chatpman of Boonton, NJ; four great grandchildren, Kaylah Beatty, Kaitlyn Beatty, Jessica Tracey and Alexander Tracey, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services celebrating Louise's Life will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Mount Zion Baptist Church, 4 Church Road, Boonton Township, NJ 07005, Rev. Dr. Kimberly, Senior Pastor, with visitation from 10am – Noon followed by a service at Noon. The interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Boonton.
