Marilyn Reilly (nee Beers), of Denville, NJ, formerly of Mountain Lakes, NJ, passed away at home on Sunday, June 12, 2016. She was 85 years old. Relatives and friends are invited for visitation at the Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Avenue, Boonton, NJ on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 from 5-7pm. A Celebration of her life will be held at The Community Church, 48 Briarcliff Road, Mountain Lakes on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at 12:00pm. The interment is private at Greenwood Cemetery in Boonton. To share a memory or extend condolences, please visit www.codeymackeyfh.com. Marilyn was born in Irvington, NJ to Stephen Beers and Evelyn Folsom. She was raised in Bloomfield, NJ and graduated from Susquehanna University in PA, where she met her husband, James Reilly. In addition to raising her 4 daughters she was an active in the Mountain Lakes community as a Girl Scout Leader and an active member of The Community Church, where she was the secretary for 13 years. In her leisure time she enjoyed playing the piano and later in life at Franciscan Oaks took up playing billiards. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, James, in 2007. Surviving are her devoted daughters, Katherine and her husband, Peter Pantages, Judith Reilly, Virginia and her husband, Glenn Stefani and Cynthia and her husband, Matthew Russomanno; dear sister Isabel McConnell and a brother, Stephen Beers; also 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org), would be appreciated.
