Margaret E. Richardi, 98, of Boonton, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2016. Visitation will be at the Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Avenue, Boonton, on Friday, March 11th from 4 – 7 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at St. John's Episcopal Church, 226 Cornelia Street, Boonton, on Saturday, March 12th at 11:00am. The interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ. To share a memory or extend condolences, please visit www.codeymackeyfh.com. Born and raised in Montville, NJ, to John and Frances Vanderhoof, Margaret moved to Boonton after she married Cyril Richardi in 1941. Prior to her marriage, Mrs. Richardi was a legal secretary for Judge Fowler in Boonton. She was an active member of St. John's Episcopal Church where she was the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award for her service in the Altar Guild. Surviving are her beloved husband of 74 years, Cyril; devoted children, John Richardi, Kathy Saxon with her husband, George, and David Richardi with his wife, Linda; a loving sister, Beatrice Richardi; 7 cherished grandchildren; and 11 adored great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister, Eleanor VanDuyne, and her brother, John Vanderhoof. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. John's Episcopal Church or the Boonton Kiwanis First Aid Squad would be deeply appreciated.
