Jack Greffe, 73, of Boonton, NJ, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville, NJ. Born in Morristown, NJ to Joseph and Margaret Greffe, Jack was raised in Boonton and also lived in Montville, NJ and Randolph, NJ. Jack retired as the sales manager at King of Carpets in Rockaway, NJ. In addition to his career he enjoyed bowling at Morris Hills Bowling Lanes in Parsippany, NJ, volunteering at St. Clare's Hospital, where he was known as "The Cookie Man." His favorite pastime was baking cookies. He is survived by his devoted sister, Gail Bednar; loving nieces, Lisa Evans and Kathleen Cawley; dear nephew, Kevin Bednar; grandnieces, Gabrielle Keeler and Rachael Cawley; grandnephews, Louis and Stephen Evans, Michael and Daniel Stitt, Kevin and Richard Bednar. He was predeceased by his brother, Robert Beddow; a nephew, Joseph Bednar; a brother-in-law, Richard Bednar. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 7, 2016 from 5-8pm in the Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Avenue, Boonton, NJ. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 11:00am. The interment will be private. To share a memory or extend condolences, please visit www.codeymackeyfh.com.
