Ruth Zmuida, 94, of Montville, NJ, formerly of Roseland, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, August 21, 2015. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at 11:00 am in the Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Avenue, Boonton, NJ. Relatives and friends may visit one hour prior to the service. The interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover, NJ. To share a memory or extend condolences, please visit www.codeymackeyfh.com. Born in Scranton, PA to her parents, Robert and Sarah Houser, Ruth lived in Roseland before moving to Montville in 1985. She was practical nurse for 33 years at UMDNJ in Newark, NJ before retiring in 1982. Ruth adored her family, especially her grandchildren, she also enjoyed the Montville Seniors, Bingo and reading. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward; son, Jack; daughter Joan Wigley; brother, Robert and sisters, Dorothy Rowe and Joan Reed. Surviving are her daughters, Gail Laird and Catherine Searle; sister, Betty Steneken; also 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Boonton United Methodist Church would be appreciated.
