John N. Kievit, of Cedar Crest Village, Pompton Plains, NJ, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2015. He lived a remarkable 105 years.
Born in Passaic, NJ to his parents, John and Ellen, he lived in Clifton, NJ before moving to Boonton, NJ where he lived for many years.
Mr. Kievit proudly served a Sergeant in the US Army in World War II.
John was an auditor/territorial manager with Royal Indemnity Co., NY, NY for 29 years, retiring in 1975. He was the former chairman of the Casualty Insurance Auditors Assn. of America.
He was predeceased by his wife, Lovice (Carr). Surviving are his brother Joseph Cumings and numerous nieces and nephews.
